Well I've allways had Chevys, and now I'm on mt 2nd ford.... my little brother told me that he had allways looked up to me and I was his hero as he was growing up, but now he's disapointed that I have a Ford, (made me feel bad) so I know what you are going thru....
Should'a gotta Cummins, then you'd never have to worry about it!
Sorry couldn't resist given the way this thread has gone.
BTW: I took the family and all of our crap to the coast this weekend in the '94 and I'm pretty impressed. We climbed the coast range in OD @ 8300# no problem and got decent mileage too. Wife liked the ride better than the Dodge/Cummins truck.
Dave,
I'm proud of you, you capitalized "MOPAR" and everything. That must have hurt to do that. LOL

Thats FUNNY!!!...... I pulled my 5th wheel to Fort Stevens thru Longview,WA. (up the Rainier hill) I had a slow start on the hill and got up to 45mph,,,,, as I turned off the air conditioner I got a noticeable boost in power... 27,000lb total wt. I think
I have one more question, I need to know where to gett the turbo base gasket...the square one w/four bolt holes made of tin???... and can I use some of the sheet and make my own the sheet is some of the MR.Gasket graphite kind suposed to be hi po stuff..... Oh and the oil drain O ring and the crd bypass O ring.. what should they be made of...
If you are asking about the grommit at the bottom end of the turbo pedestal that seals to the valley pan, than that will be a little hard to find. Ford and ATS stopped offering that a long time ago. There is some info here on where to get an equivalent replacement: Oilburners.net
The gasket I'm also not sure about, but if you have the two parts surfaced you won't need a gasket (even a slight amount of corrosion and soot will seal it). Or if you have a product you want to use as a sealer, just make sure it can go to at least 1300 degrees F and it should work.
Not the grommit, the O ring between the turbo and the turbo pedestal... / and pedestal to the back of the intake manifold.. (were the air cleaner would be on a NA... but thanks david85 I will use that link...

OK, now I understand.
I had to find those for my 088 turbo kit as well. Any autoparts store should have an assortment of O rings for you to to find one that fits (usually a peg board in the isle). Just bring the pedistal with you and see what fits because they are not special ATS O rings. This assumes you have means of transportation other than your truck though....

Yeah my frrt , I get real good gas mileage with them....as long as all trips start out at TACO BELL!!!................Dont the O rings have to be for high heat??? or is plain old rubber ok?? just my thought..

MAN what is wrong with my fingers???????????????????????? thats FEET FEET NOT FRRTOboy what a long hot day...was 101* after living in Redding,Cal. I feel like a total WUUS!!!.
Got up to 30C today and its gonna be a hot night too. Probably won't sleep too well.
No relief tomorrow either.
I just got the black O rings that they had on the board at the parts store. You are dealing with temps in the 200F range, so I think the standard O rings will work. If they have higher hear O rings than thats fine too, but probably not needed (I doubt they would even cost $1 each).
