Edge Installed

Purchased the Edge last year and only used it to display information. Today, I finally pushed the magic button and put it on Level 2 turning. The truck wakes up and drives different. It wants to rev and the throtle response is quicker. The transmission shifts firmer and it seems the milage is better.

Overall, I like it .........

This has been my experience as well. It looks like I have picked up almost 2MPG so I am quite happy with that. I am on level 2 as well. Good to hear similar results.

I experienced the same as far as waking the truck up. It did quite a bit better towing a heavy trailer. I can't speak for empty highway fuel economy because I've only used the truck strictly for towing since I got the Edge about a month ago. It did drain my battery after being parked about 2 weeks. I called Edge and they said if it's not a daily driver and is parked for extended periods of time, then disconnect it after you shut off the truck before you exit, and reconnect it before you start it up. Not real happy with that, but I guess the benefits outweigh the weakness I guess, who knows, don't have a choice now.

Boy have you opened up a can of worms,
I don't have either, but have been trying to read what I can.
The way I understand it, they are basically the same unit, the Gryphon's has personalized tunes.
Search them out and enjoy reading.

I have an Edge right now and it is wonderful. I run on level 3 and have seen a 2.5 mile per gallon increase. The power is spot on with previous postings. I like my edge very much but it is time for more power. I am sending my Edge to PHP to get Gryphonated. Bill and Corey are awsome people and from what I understand their products are top notch. This is my personal opinion so take it as you will. When I get my Gryphon back I will report on my experience with it.

Are you saying that a Edge can be re-programed to be a Gryphon?

PHP uses the Edge chip and re-lables it the Gryphon. I think they change the plastic to black and load a different firmware. You still get the basic tunes, but you can upgrade to custom tunes. If you currently have a Edge than give them a call and they can give you upgrade prices. 1-678-963-9913. You can talk to Bill or Corey they are both wonderful.
