the price was about $530 plus a $300 core charge, and tax came out to $890ish... i have no idea if it's a 17* or 15*, i'll find out once it's in... the part number is what ford gave me for my dad's '02 excursion, which should have the 17*HPOP... and it's also the part number that i've seen thrown around on this site
awesome man, thanks a million! i rep'd ya!
i guess i'll bite the bullet while the info is fresh in my head!
i have a question while on this topic and i am sure its been answered before but just to clarify.... when upgrading from 96-97 15* HPOP (1825248C91, 1825259C91, 1826794C93, 2503703C91, 991935C94) to a 99.5-03 17* HPOP (1831449C91) is it necessary to buy a new and/or upgraded IPR?
also, while talking about IPR's... whats is the difference b/t the ones with Edge filter and without? is there literally a small filter on the end of the IPR?
has anyone considered doing a Pulse instead of 17* pump? sounds pretty good performance wise but its almost twice the price of a 17* including the core charge!

very very good questions that i have no answer to lol, i did not order a new IPR, i figured that it would probably be the same
All the reman pumps are 17*.
They have not been remanning as 15*.
But still might be some old stock on shelves.
The part # now is more about what line will go on the pump.
(quick connect or jic). Edge filter IPR is in a very early pump.
It was changed to non about 96.
as some of you know i need a new HPOP, and all day i've been running around picking up parts for my truck, but before i call international i would like to have a part # handy for a 17* HPOP!!!! ford quoted me $910 minues a $150 core fee (if they accept my 15*) would come out to $760.... international SHOULD be cheaper right??? thanks guys
hey man... whats your 20? have you thrown that pump in yet?
i am starting mine tomorrow and I have cody on the ready in case something goes wrong i have someone to call and gripe to! lol

oh sorry haven't had a chance to update, i've been test driving it hahah i started it wednesday night and spent an hour and a half to 2 hours taking it apart, and putting the pump back in, so all i had to do thursday night was hook all the oil lines back up, put the fuel filter housing back in, and hook those lines up.... finished all that on thursday (took maybe 4 hours total to do the job...) but for some reason the truck wouldn't start, and my batterys are about 2 and a half years old so that could have been why.... turns out that since my batterys are weak it couldn't crank the motor fast enough to get rid of the air in the lines, meaning it wouldn't start, so i cracked open one of the HPO lines, cranked for maybe 2 secodns and it fired up, no rough idle or anything since i got the air out... hurried up and shut it off so oil wouldn't shoot everywhere (whoops forgot to tighten up the oil line ) turned it back on and let it idle for a little... no leaks? check! test drive time.... feels a little bit stronger down at lower speeds or short-WOT runs, but you can feel a bigger difference on something like a 0-65 run.... it pulls and keeps pulling unlike before where it kind of just relaxed once you were in it for awhile.... i did a 350 foot burnout in testing (no brakes, just mash the throttle and go...) and a nice 400..ish... foot powerslide hahaha what a night!!!!!
