It's basically the same thing as a 6a but stronger to take the abuse of shocks and bumps.

Try the 6T - much cheaper than the Off-Road, but with more shock-resistance than the 6a. I called MSD and asked them what the difference was between the 3 - they said the 6a and 6t were the same functionally, except the 6t had several shock-resistant features, and the off-road has some kind of tilt sensor that adjusts the spark in extreme angles (steep hills, etc). If you're looking on eBay, the 6t's go for MUCH less money than the 6a's, I guess since most people don't know the difference. Anyway, I have the 6t, and it seems to work great.
