I'm putting a set of guages on my truck that comes with a volt meter. How do I wire that up

Hi, best way I know how is right across the battery if you can. That way you will have a direct battery reading. You can buy special connectors that attach to the already battery terminals to make for a real neat job and they are not too expensive. But if you do not like my advice than you can connect any where there is keyed power and the other wire to ground.

I hooked one up to a wire under the dash. It acted as a second turn signal indicator, read ok until the turn signals were on. So try to run a wire at least close to the battery.
