winch bumper suitability
Ive got a morphodite 72 f250 4x4,and i say morphodite because of the assortment of parts that likely went into its build-up. I wondered why the bed/cab gap was as large as it was,then i discovered that 73 and later F100/250 longbeds had 133" wheelbase as opposed to 67-72's having 131" wheelbase. I occasionally see for sale used warn winch bumpers for the 67-72 F-series,and was curious what years interchange without major difficulty? are the frames from say 1967-1977 the same width? As i remember,Warn used to list the same bumper # for a bunch of 70's-80's Fords,Dodges,Chevy's,the only diff. being mounting kits. Ive got a Warn 8274 sitting around,and figure it would be a good match for the either the Morph or its possible new companion,"Son of Morph", another F250 4x4 that i will likely pickup tomorrow. thanks, Bob
