I was wondering if anyone out there knows of any place that sells a winch front bumper setup for our 67-72 4x4's. Something that kinda goes with our bodystyle well. Thanks in advance for any leads. Also does anyone happen to have any pics of one that might be on your truck?
I am designing one now. Unfortunatly I am still a couple months off for any pics or major progress. Seams I can only get about 5 minutes a week to work on it, then something else goes wrong. If I can get to a point that I like I will post a pic or two. If anyone else has any I am still trying to get it to look good, mabey we could mesh a bunch of ideas together.
What kind of look are you shooting for I like the new superduty -excursion look big bulky solid looking with the winch recessed and enclosed? I haven't found any companies that go further back than the mid 80's. I'm interested to see any pics at all or sketches.
Ya know I haven't even thought of the new super dutys. I was thinking of an old style flat faced step style with the winch hole recesed in it. I think I wil have to check out some of the super dutys. I had tried a rounded one, but it just didn't look good. I'll see if I can get some of my sketches scanned and send you some.
HEY 460- Look at my gallery too, I designed this in AutoCAD and burned it out on the computer burn table at work- cost me all of 30 bucks, I am in the process of building a matching rear with a hidden reciever behind a spring loaded lisc. plate. Might give you some ideas.

gdavis2265, WOW! that bumper sure looks alot better than mine.
460 crew, don't bother lookin at mine. That green beast has one nice bumper on it.
gdavis2265, nice truck. That is awesome. Not a green kind of guy, but it looks real smooth and definitely is an eyecatcher. Whew! I am amazed at your truck. Did you do the restoration? I do recall looking at your gallery before and there was a primer gray crew cab on there, is this the same truck?
THANKS SFC! Much appreciated, that's why I built the truck (Did most everything myself too) Yup, same truck. I just kept replacing eveything that broke or fell off! haha - I have a spreadsheet on the truck, added it all up and it was over 16K - Ouch! But it's my only vehical and gets driven everyday of the year. It sees alot of snow. Funny thing is I was making $350 a month payments on my previous truck (along with full coverage), once I sold it I had extra money to spend on this one. Took me a little over a year to finish.
Patrick I posted a couple of examples in my gallery. These were made by a guy called Micheals Welding in Arizona and/or California. The scout example would lend itself well to the ford front end style. I'm going to do something similiar only with a removable receiver hitch so I can move my winch front or rear.

Thanks guys for all the input. I'm still lookin for more of the enclosed look all around the bumper and not so tubular even though they do look nice. Boy Glen your crew is really coming together and I know how you feel about the money I also have a price tag around that figure but haven't had enough ***** to total it up lately, but still wouldn't trade it for a new truck and more payments. Mine is going to be a daily driver when it is finished and I can get rid of one of our cars. Looking good also Rab. You guys are making me look bad mine still is about 2 weeks from completion to drive but not looks, and i have been working on it for about 2 yrs.Rab I might have to do something like you mentioned because I would also like to use the winch on the front or rear. Crap so many choices I don't know what I want except to drive my beast! And SFC Yours is cool just because it has character just like all of our fords Thanks again you guys.
