nothing to worry about..a lot of us has changed them and i have yet to hear any down side..your truck will love you more for doing it..yes the light is there now...just not in the PCM...mine worked for a day..the bulb must have blown out...
if the pins are good and still coated in the back..there is no reason to send it off to Jody...if you know you got a PMT1 PCM or what ever PCM you are getting..tell Jody and he can make you a chip..that way they both come about the same time...or if you dont have the cash..just put the PCM in and save for the chip...
Any advantages to sending the whole PCM to DP when I get the Tuner rather than just waiting and putting it all in together?
At Jody's request I sent him my PCM when I ordered my tuner and the advantage was that he pre-tested it in his truck and I got the PCM back with the tuner attached. I had asked for some TC lock-up tunes and he wanted to use my XLE4 PCM because at the time he didn't have one to use.
