A steal!

Found a 73-79 long box with no rust for $350! My only complaint is that it has that huge door on the passenger side with a spare tire in it. I can seal that up eaiser that rust holes!

aren't SCSs the ones with the spare tire on the passenger side in a storage compartment?

Yes they are and they are made for the longer wheelbase. Those beds only fit those specific trucks because the rear wheels sit back further than normal. It's a good find even if you can't use it, someone else will.

Buy that thing before he figures out what he really has. When you do some searching to find how bad some people want that bed, you won't be complaining anymore

No kidding?? I guess I better measure it before I buy it! So the whole bed is longer than a standard 8' bed? Maybe I could make me some repair panels for one of the other two beds I have. Would hate to chop that thing up! It must have come from down south because it dosen't have a single rust hole. Thanks for the heads up!

It must be a SCS bed because it looks just like the one in the picture. Wonder what a rust free SCS bed would be worth?

No the bed is the standard 8 foot length. What is different is the wheelwell location. I'm unsure how much, 7 Inchs? perhaps Anyway the rear axle was
Moved to back for the much heaveir tonge weights of large Campers.

7" is correct, 133" on a standard whellbase pickup and a 140" on a SCS.

I should have clarified my statement a bit better, but others have done it. But, for that kind of money, I'd buy it either way. Those are worth alot if rust free. I bet you could quadruple your money easily. And I agree, get if before the guys knows what those things are worth.
