I need some help with this one.
Here are the facts: 94 Aerostar, 3.0 Xl
-Pass side power window will not operate, Driver side window ok.
-Both the driverside control switch for the pass window and the pass side switch will not actuate the pass window.
-pulled pass switch from switch block , jumped power to the up/ down wiring, motor ran fine, window up and down.
-disconected the driver side pass switch and re connected the pass switch nothing.
Put the pass side switch back on pulled the driver side window switches out tried to jump the up down circuit on that switch like i did the pass side but no luck.
-I have 12V at both switch blocks(blue wire)
-the driver side has a white wire for the up circuit and a brown for the down circuit.
-pass side has red wire down circuit and yellow wire up circuit to the motor.
Are there any relays in this system, Do the switches act as a relay?
The 12v is the blue wire both sides, what wire if any goes to ground? I allready replaced the pass side switch, no luck. Any help would be awsome. Thanks in advance.

All the Fords I have had used a reversing polarity arrangement for operating both the door lock motors (yes they are motors not solenoids) and the power windows. By reversing polarity I mean that there are two wires on the motor. Neither one is grounded in the motor. Put one polarity on the motor and it will run one direction. Change the polarity and the motor will run the other direction. Assuming the above is true for your van, the motor would not be grounded to the frame. It would receive its ground through the switches. The switches are arranged in a series type of circuit. It is really hard to explain without a diagram. The easiest way to troubleshoot the window circuit is with a voltmeter.
You may be able to swap switches from the drivers side window just to check it out. I was able to do this with my 93 F150 since all of the switches were identical. I know that the switches on some vehicles are not.
