the reverse lights on my 84 f 150 with AOD dont work. A friend of mine told me to check the switch in the steering column and somebody else told me it was the neutral safety switch on the driver side of the tranny. Which one is it? I looked on the tranny and there's a couple wires going to a plug on the driver side about midway back on the tranny. I think there's 2 wires on that plug. Would removing it and cleaning it work?
You can check the circuit by putting 12v to the white/pink stripe wire that is attached to the firewall directly behind the engine.(Should be in a grey connector with 4 wires.
