hi i have a 1990 ford f150 4x4 302 v8 and was wondering if the daytime running lights module has anything to do with why my high beam indicator light isnt working its been unpluged ever since i unpluged it about 9 years ago and i cant remember the indicator ever working i checked the bulb and replaced it but it still doesnt light up or could it be a wire running to the floor mounted high low beam switch?
I'm new at all this, but I think your high-beam indicator probably is related to unplugging the DRL module.
I have a similar vehicle (1990 5.0L 2WD F150). My headlights won't turn off. I temporarily solved (????) this by unplugging my headlamps. From other posts here it seems to be a DRL module failure.
Now my highbeam indicator will not go off until my battery discharges completely (or i remove a battery cable)
Where did you find your DRL module in your F150. I would like to unplug mine
I successfully removed the module. My headlights now work properly, and I have no high beam indicator.
The DRL module in the 1990 F150 is easy to remove if you know where it is. Simply remove the grill. Look under the left headlight. Take out two screws.
If anyone would find a photo of the DRL module useful, i would be happy to post one.
