daytime running lights

daytime running lights
starts out easy project,add driving lights+tap into high beam wire,check switch and dimmer,all is well. untill starting engine light relay goes bonkers.unplugging drl module no good you loose high beam indicator any ideas?

Need a little more info here. What wires did you tap/redirect? How are you powering the lights? Relay? If so, how is it hooked up?
Also, am I correct to assume this is a Canuck truck, and not an uhsah model?

it must have been canadian made ? 97 f-350. i solved problem by running feed wire through firewall to switch.what i wanted to do was use high beam selector to power all 4 lights,wont work without unplugging drl module
