Hey guys, I am usually in the 04+ section but i have a question for you all.
I am going to look at a F-150 for my brother this Friday. Its a 1999 f150 4x4 5.4 with 95k, I talked to the guy and he said the the ABS light is on....
What could be causing this? I was thinking that it could be one of the sensors on the front axle or rear diff?
Also in 1999 did they begin with 4 wheel abs?....I know my 97 only had 2 wheel
I will try to get the code read when I take it for a test drive and stop at auto zone......just wondering if you guys could give me a heads up on what it could be
If it's a good deal, get it. My 99 had 3 sensors, 2 in the front, 1 in the back. I did break one in the front before. After I got my wrangler MTR's I unhooked the ABS anyway. The ABS on the 99's was BS anyway.
Thanks for the reply's, I will bring my ohmmeter along and check them out....I was thinking that the rear diff one would be the most common....AS for the price I offered 5900 over the phone and he said he would take it.......I go to take a look at it on Friday.
One more question....Is the rear ABS senor the same as the speed senor?
