Help Nuked Speakers.

I have an 05 Super duty Lariat Luxury package. It has (HAD) a nice sounding stereo when I first got it but loaned it to my sone for 5 minute and now the rear speakers sound like their under water. little to no sound at all and what does come out of them is distorted beyond belief. I know, age old problem.
Has any one done a speaker replacement or upgrade? I don't wish to even think what the dealer wants to do it$$$$$$$$ I just want my good full sound back.

Have you checked with Best Buy? They carry a fairly wide variety and they will install if you don't want to.

Wally World has Pioneers 6x8's for like $60...3-way 240watts peak IIRC.

There was somebody on eBay awhile back selling OEM premium sound component speakes for a very reasonable price. I got a set and replaced the standard speakers in my '05,and they sound great.

another vote for those pioneers at wally world sound way better than stock, i got them in the front and back and the sound is very crisp!!

I've heard great things about Infinity speakers with stock stereos. Chrysler uses them in the premium systems. I have them with an aftermarket radio and love them.
