Guys my front and back speakers are tore up they sound like crap. I was wondering what is the most durable and longest lasting while also sounding good speakers on the market. I was told pioneer but i want to make everyones opinon before i buy. Also do you guys know what size speakers fit the back of the supercabs and the front. thanks
if they are OEM, anything will sound better .. speaker tech has come a long way in recent years (figuring this form is for trucks at least 14 yrs old) with modern materials, plastic cones, mylar tweeters, etc ..
Go to Best Buy or a store and listen to different brands, choose from that. If you aren't going to put an amp or anything in you won't have any worries about longevity. Different brands have their own distinct tones. I did my first system in my old Ram last year (not an audio guy, just wanted to try it) and went with Infinity Kappa's all the way around.
Came down to Infinity's or Alpines on my budget, and though the Infinity's had better highs. Honestly had too good of highs once I got the amp installed, so probably wouldn't use them again with an amp, but definitely on a non amplified set up.
I have Alpine in the front and rear on mine, have heard about every brand you mentioned in the ext cab Fords, and I can't say I have heard anything better...
My Truck currently has a walmart 50 dollar radio... However i am going to replace it with a JVC KDR600 Cd player with front usb. The oem speakers are what it has now so i figured it was time to replace them.
oh ok so if ur going jvc head unit i would use their speakers too... they have good audio stuff and when u look at it instead of seeing a jvc radio hooked up to god knows what kinda speakes lol
I voted for Kenwood its what I usually get. Pioneer stuff is usually well made, durable, and less expensive. I like both of these brands. I can't say I like Alpine. Everything I and my friends have had that was made by Alpine didn't last, although when it worked it did sound great. I don't particularly care for JVC either. If you need a good durable inexpensive deck get Pioneer for that too.
