Upfitter Switches...

All,

I am thinking of getting some UPFITTER switches added to my '08. Is it just a quick install or do you have to do a bunch of wiring. I've called a souple service departments and neither exactly know what is going on.

Also. Once connected, Do you wire your accessories to the back of the switches or somewhere under the hood?

This upgrade is pretty much plug and play from what I understand. Try a search on this forum, plenty of info on adding upfitters.

This guy on ebay sells upfitters and has a guide on how to install them on an 08.

I cannot vouch for the accuracy of this info, but I'm sure someone will chime in if he is wrong.

Very simple installation. If you buy the kit it comes with everything you need. I did this on my 2006 and only took an hour or so. The 2008 is nearly the same procedure. Check out the 2 links here for more information.

I have my GPS hardwired to one and the auxiliary back-up lights to the other.

On my 06 I had aux reverse lights, CB radio, and High idle mod. On the 08 I only have the aux reverse lights and a connection to an aux light to my trailer so far. Havent found a good spot for the cb yet but that will get hard wired when I do.
