Hello everyone I bought a 97 F350 P/S Crewcab today and my question is.The body looks different than my 97 F150 did they do a body change mid year?
I'm confused The title states 97 the body tag says 97 the motor says 97
Any help?
F150, OBS ended 1996. So 1997 was the new body style.
F250, OBS ended 1997, So 1998 was the new body style.
So 1997, F150, and F250 side by side, are not brothers.
1997 was also the inception of the F250LD. It is the 1997 F150's brother. Body style is identical.
The 1997 F250 OBS are badged F250 Heavy Duty. It's because of the F250LD of the same year.

Yep! Except the F150 was the only"F" series truck for 1998. The F250, F350 etc. went from the 97 OBS body straight to the 99 SD body style.
In it's short life...97 to 99, I've only seen the 7-lugged, sheep in wolf's clothing as the F250 LD. I never saw one as an F150 HD. There are a couple of each year's on a few lots around here. All badged F250.

Yes Sir you are correct. The F250 LD's were made from 97 to 99. In 2000 they dropped the 250 LD and replaced it with a new F-150 7700 payload group with all of the attributes of the F-250, including heavier frame, larger brakes, higher-capacity wheels and 8,800 pounds towing capability.
