I have a 2000 F250 Super Duty 5.4L and the other day I blew a rear brake line. Does anyone know the length for the rear brake line, I know that its a 1/4" thick but every parts store I go to only carry a 60" line and that looks like it is going to be too small. My truck is a regular cab longbed, any help would be greatly appriciated.
Yep, that's got to be a long one, if you don't get a custom fitted one, you will need two lines, a coupler and a flair tool. If you have a napa or a heavy truck parts store, they might carry longer lengths of steel tube.
Well I already have one line, maybe I will be able to find another line that when joined together it about the same as the one I pulled out. Thanks for the info ReAX.
On my '03 the brake line is painted in the engine compartment and untreated as soon as it exits just behind the left front wheel. You can guess where it went bad. Needless to say the new line was painted before it was installed.
