checked out the spartan site and it does look awsome. thanks mick. Now i need to convince my wife we need it. Do any of you run an aftermarket intercooler with your programer? I hear its a must. Or are they over rated?
I dont now yet, i ordered one about a week ago and it should be here in about two weeks from what dfuser said. If your going to tow alot or run the 250 tune i would say yes. The 250 tune will bring the EGT's up to 1600 realy fast. I dont think you could run a quarter mile under 1800+, i never pushed it that far so i dont know. Matt run a little nitrous on his truck to keep the egt's down. Im actually puttin in a Snow performance water/meth kit and the intercooler in. I've got the snow kit now just waiting on the intercooler.
Turbonetics said the new style cast intercooler will drop the egt's about 185 Degrees and greatly improve air flow opposed to the prior hand welded version which only droped it about 125 degrees compared to the stock intercooler. I might have jumped the gun on it becasue banks is supposed to have thier intercooler out along with upgraded inlet pipes. The water/meth kit will also supposed to drop the egt's about 200-250 degrees.
