Interesting engine transplants...

Low buck diesel power | turn up your fuel rate for free, or almost

Check those out....

cummins 5.9 in an s10???!?!?!?!

466 fit nice in the ford!

Forget about the 5.9L Cummins and 7.3L Powerstroke | Miscellaneous Blog & Discussion at Diesel Power Magazine

Wow.....

I guess all i need now is some money.

Think you'd spend more on the engine and transplant, or fuel ?

This brings me back to my 466 obsession.

It even fits in there without cutting the firewayy, just the rad has to go in the back.

You cant say an f250 new body style with a 466 wouldnt be awesome. Box space would be lost due to rads and coolers, but man, what beats being able to lay down up to 2500 hp next to a 400 hp cummins ram?

Actually, a stock 466 radiator dosnt look any bigger than the 7.3's rad, however, I'm sure that once the engine produces over 1000 hp, instead of 300, things may heat up a little.

I've been contemplating where all those radiators would need to go....

Best Idea i had so far, is to butcher a fiberglass box cover into a giant radiator fan mounting system, and install a towing tailgate with the fins, so that air gets sucked in the top, and out the back.

I tow a bumper pull camper, so no 5th wheel hitch.

Electric fans could be installed on the finned tailgate, and with proper protective grills around the fans and rad's, stuff could still be stored in the box.

As long as it aint gonna overheat.... (not a good place for the wifes candles...)

Dont even pretend for 1 second the concept doesnt get you excited...

Did you see the 466 in the OBS ford?

Now imagine a nice custom painted black 466 twin turbo, with chrome valve covers and red intercooler pipes.... in a new body style f250...

The name escapes me, but I remember someone over at Beans doing a 466 in a Super Duty.

Engine numbers only after the build...

Haven't had a chance to dyno it in the chassis, but I'll have to do the tranny first before we spray it.

I have a 466 dream, and you might like the 5.9, and I agree it would be more reasonalbe and easy, but I cant extinguish my 466 dream...
