2000 7.3l No scanner Communication

I have a Genysis scanner and it will not communicate with truck. I have checked all fuses and they are good and none missing, any ideas.

First of all let me say that a Powerstroke is non-OBDII compliant. Only certain scanners will work. I have an AE Scantool for my Powerstroke.

Here is a pic of the data link pinout on my truck and the readings I took with both Key Off and Key On Engine Off. If your scanner is Powerstroke compatible maybe you are missing one of these potentials.

Note: There are only 7 pins extended through the connector.

I have a Genysis which I communicate with all vehicles everyday. Most of which are ford 7.3 or 6.0l everyday.

Well that Genysis is certainly compatible. This particular truck may still be missing battery or ground on one of the pins. Just a thought.
