Directional Switch Auto-Cancel

When I go to turn right I now have to physically hold the turn-signal lever up, as it won't stay there any more. Left works just as advertised.

Has anyone been inside their steering wheel recently to address this issue, and if so, what's the solution? Is there some kind of "hook" that's worn or broken off? Is there a pin that needs to be tweaked a little?

Anybody?

It is part of the multi function switch. i have found this so far:

Multifunction Switch
Removal & Installation
To Remove:

Remove ignition switch lock cylinder.
Twist the tilt wheel handle and shaft to remove.
Remove upper and lower steering column shrouds.
Remove screws, disconnect electrical connectors and remove multifunction switch.
To Install:

Install multifunction switch and screws.
Connect electrical connectors.
Install upper and lower steering column shrouds.
Install tilt wheel handle.
Install ignition switch lock cylinder

So it looks like a multi-function switch is in my future? OK, I can handle that.

Thanks, Jim for the write-up! (Yes, I gotta spread 'em around still......)

It isn't right. They list it as # SW2857...There is no such number.

I chimed in because Marv asked me this question yesterday calling it a multi function switch.

I didn't realize what he wanted was the turn signal switch (13K359)...I thought what he wanted was some sort of a 14A089.

Sorry Marv....if I had known, I would have given you the part number and Ed's price.

I bought the OEM one, the parts house ones weren't really cheaper. I try to stay with the OEM on many of the replacement parts.

I had to give them the VIN to be sure I got the right one. The application info was not enough. They didn't have the correct one in stock at the time.
