Monkeys is being kind. I have a similar problem here. I am starting to really like Texas. Just don't know what I am going to do with my snow plow.
Last time I was down there, I saw a whole lotta cattle. Definitely some plowing to be done!
This state is really getting me down. It's changed a lot in my 36 years and I'm ready to move to NV. Now it's full of people sneaking conversations and texting as they drive 'cause we have this lovely new "hands free" law.
And on July 4th I was looking to buy some "snakes." The fireworks stand lady said they're banned. Snakes. Not Roman Candles people, snakes. I love how in NV you can just go out and shoot and blow stuff up.

Rant over... Thanks for listening.
I got an extra 60 acres just north of Reno I cans sell ya'....cheap. I left California for the same basic reasons (and that there is no income tax in Nevada).
Its hard when you love your home and hate the monkeys running your state

I was born here on the Monterey Peninsula, and I feel the same way you guys do. It's all the darn bleeding heart liberals who want to institute too many social programs. They make up the majority population of most large urban areas, which drown out the voices of the conservatives who are spread out over the less populous area's of the state.
It's a damn shame. They're ruining this once beautiful state.
I've always wanted to live my whole life here, but now I'm sure I'll eventually move to a state in the Bible Belt, or at least to a state where they have their heads screwed on straight.
Well you know Cali always likes to lead the way. Funny thing is not many folks have wanted to follow the last decade or so. Good post, I see Tennessee is actually more diesel friendly than I thought. I top off in Kentucky though. Much friendlier.
Texas ain't bad of a place at all. And you can definitely keep your plow if you live up in North Texas where I do. You might use it once or twice a year.
That said, my butt will be back in FL in the next few years. I grew up there and I really didn't realize how much I loved it until I was away for a while. My folks and a lot of my family are there, which helps a lot as well. No state income tax in FL, just like there isn't any in Texas, but they nail you on sales & property tax. Everybody has to pay the piper one way or another...

Yeah but in California you not only pay the piper, you pay to keep his entire family and out of country relatives on welfare. Now we know why they called Arnold an "actor". In real life he's really a wimp.
