chip install ?s
when i insll my chip do i have to only take out the parkin brake assembly to get to the computer or do i have to take that big metal piece holdin everything together and have to wire harnesses right next 2 each other under my hood going in to the fire wall witch one is the computer

Take it out from under the hood ,,you may need to loosten the fender liner to get it out ...Easier to clean the contacts this way
Remove the parking brake assembly if you are going to have a switch attached to it ...add the switch after the PCM is re installed ...
Make sure the keys are in the house....

I got my TW installed from under the fender plastic liner. Take out enough of the screws to fold the liner back. The computer is the one next to the outside metal fender. One 10 mm bolt holds the wiring harness on then remove the two (one on top, the other on the bottom) 10 mm bolts that hold the black plastic seal on. Pull the computer out, do your thing with the chip, then BEFORE putting the computer back in, put the switch and wire into the cab by putting it in the opening and turning it imediately to the left towards the inside of the cab. Push in the wire and go inside the cab and pull it all the way in. Then slide the computer in, etc.
