PMS'n today
While doing the FPR I put a dab of grease on the spring to hold the bb, no problem. Used a mirror to make sure everything went in to place, no problem... Put on the cap, made sure the tit was in the spring...started to tighten and heard spring noise as I made my final tighten... Didn't think too much of it. Fired the truck up and 120 psi!
Pulled it back apart and found the spring tweaked to the one side..... Knocked out the piston, removed the bb, straightened the spring and had 50 psi...aww crap... Thankfully I don't usually throw stuff away (have a filter housing off one of my old IH busses in the shed. Pulled the spring out of it and used it as a guide to straighten the ford one again). This time I knocked out the piston, put the bb in the piston, spring in the piston an reassembled as one unit. Leaving it sticking out of the FPR just enuf to gaurentee the tit on the cap was in the spring.
Worked like a charm, fired it up and have around 75 psi. Now gotta finish off the gauges and wait for the TW to show up, should be here by wed
