Little ball in fpr?

So I cleaned the screen and replaced the fuel filter and noticed that I lost 10 PSI fuel pressure in the process. Dropped from 62 to about 52-53 at idle.

Not sure what happened. Then I was looking at the dieselorings repair kit and noticed the little white ball. I didn't see that when I pulled the screen out. The screen popped off at one point, maybe I missed it?

Whatchathnink? I make a mess of it? If I order the kit where does the little ball go?

Another question, I remember reading about the replacement kit for the regulator spring and sleeve and that there was a California version with slightly higher fuel pressure. I'll be danged if I can find anything about it now, like part numbers. I've already done the bb-mod. Just looking to freshen things up a little.

I pulled the regulator out and found the ball still in the back of the thingamajigy with the screen on it. All is well there.

Found the part numbers for the CA regulator spring too.
