Aftermarket speedometer

I'm considering getting one of the polished aluminum instrument panel faces for my 69 f100 and putting in a full set of traditional chrome auto meter gauges, and i was wondering if anyone could tell me how much trouble it is to switch out the speedometer. would I be able to use the original speedometer cable with the auto meter gauge, or would i have to replace it?
Thanks

The cable fits, have the same thing in my '71. Pics in my gallery if you're interested.

Thanks, it helped. I've never done anything with a speedometer before, so I wasn't sure if it would work, and eventually I would like to replace that old line speedometer. Thanks

You're most certainly welcome, Wes. I've used Autometer gauges in a lot of builds, very satisfied with the quality of their gauges....

I've never used any autometer before, other than the ammeter in my 79 dodge, but they look like good gauges and the price isn't too awful. So I thought I may try them when I have the money.
