Over Loading Headlamp Switch
I have just purchased a 1990 F350,It has a Toggle switch under
the dash area to switch on the running lights, the guy I bought
it from said it was to stop over load on the main switch, as its
a little untidy I wondered if any one has a circuit or suggestion of a wiring diagram to fit a solinoid in the system, or any other
suggestions as to make the whole thing back to standard.

Just go back to the normal switch way but,do a upgrade to the headlights on a relay instead.
This should take all the resistance out of the headlight switch from the running lights

I think I understand what you are saying but could you give
a Diagram to explain where a relay would go ?

Sorry about leaving you stranded, til sparky showed up Baron.
I have many things going on, and ran out of time when typing.
When you purchase relay's,make sure you buy the Bosch relay's,they are of higher quality than most.

Hey Mil1ion,
I understand time is an element of truth hard to come by sometimes.
Will take you advice about Bosch Relays.
THANKS for the tip
