Manual lock torque converter

Hi everyone. I have done some searching on this site about putting in a switch to manually lock the torque converter on my truck. Not much info on the 4R70W trans. which I have. Has anyone out there done it to this trans.? I have an 03 s/c, and when I tow on a long steady incline (3rd gear, not OD) the converter unlocks fairly quickly and the heat starts to build. If I punch the pedal down to shift into second, then I start gaining speed on the hill and have to let off the gas which puts me back to unlocked 3rd. Any info. would be appreciated!!

Aftermarket electronic controller. There are others available but I can't remember the name or the post.

Have you tried moving the shifter to 2? That will keep the trans in 2nd.
