Hello, I could use some help decoding my vin. I just purchased this truck and I'm not sure what year it is (was told it was a 67). I do not have a title (not required in GA for vehicles over 20 years old). VIN F10ANC00772. Im also trying to find out what gear ratio was in the rear. Funny thing is they put a 289 from a mustang in it. Does anyone know if parts from a 302 will fit on a 289? Thanks in advance for all your help.

Welcome to FTE
F10 = F100 2WD
A = 240 I-6
N = Norfolk VA Assembly Plant
C00772 = 1968 (1968 serial number range: C00,001 thru D82,000)
The AXLE code is not in the VIN.
Look on the Warranty Plate, located on the left door face below the latch for the AXLE code...second line at the right...post it here.
Ok first off you have a 67 built in August.

Hope this helps.
It didn't help, because the info you posted is in-correct.
New vehicle introduction is in September, so a truck assembled in August of 1967 will be a 1968 model, and the VIN's serial number proves it.
