TS Switch

A while back I was going on and on about how the TS switches in our rigs are junk. I tried to order one from Dennis Carpenter since their price says $25 but they don't have any and have no idea when they will. One of their reps tells me that the shipment they got in were crap and they don't have a deal yet to make more. NumberDummy suggested ftepartsguy.com once so before buying I sent them a note asking if theirs are junk and here is the response I got:

"the Ford OEM factory parts is covered under warranty for 12/12. the factory part should last you many years. I have sold many over the last 25 years. but never to the same person.
ed"

I know TS switches are always being discussed in this forum and my new replacement didn't last 2 years. Anyone out there have better luck than me?

TS Switches are like Brakes? Brakes you ask? Well, every driver is different. Some people ride their brakes and slam them on in traffic. This will cause excessive wear and premature failure as well as far to often replacement of the brakes. Some people have a 4 lb key ring hanging off the turn signal handle while using the handle as a drum pad whilst listing to ZZ Tops Eliminator album. I have a 66 and 67 f100 that have original TS switches in them and they still work fine. I guess it is how you use the device that dictates it longevity? I'm not saying they don't break just they don't break as often.
Remember: If it don't fit, force it!!

That's nothing more than a poor excuse, because DC is selling nothing but OEM turn signal switches.

The reason DC doesn't have any is...he was buying them from a local Ford dealer. The price went up, and he didn't notice his catalog still listed the old price.

So now he has to change the catalog price before he can begin selling them again...because there's no way he's gonna sell them below his cost!

DOTZ13341B .. T/S Switch / Fits 1969 F100/350's after serial # G30,001 & 1970/72 F100/350's.

MSRP: $61.98 / FTEpartsguy.com price: $44.63

btw: My 1965 F100 has its original turn signal switch...it still works just fine.

How do I know it's the original switch? Because, I'm the trucks original owner.
