    Hello shoestring. i saw your post about the 4.6 2 valve in your 68 ford. I've a 76 ford in which I'm about to do the same. Ive just been trying to do research about all the problems that might occur. I was just asking if you would share some of the problems you had, and somethings that happened better? i.e. motor mounts hooked up. Thanks for all your help.

    I will have to roll the truck out and take one of it. But to put it simply I took the bracket of the original C6 transmission and put that bracket on the new transmission and since the new transmission pushed the trany just a little further back I was able to use the same cross member by just flipping it around, moving it back one set of holes and the first set of holes matched up. I did have to drill one additional pair of holes in the frame.

    Would you have any pictures to what you did to the trans crossmemeber just picked up my frame yesterday.

    there is a 4.6 that can be run with a carb now. uses single overhead cam heads and a edelbrock intake. msd for ignition.
