On the eddie bauer edition, its behind the glove box. Pull in the tabs on the side of the glove box & let the glove box drop down. In behind all the wires on the right side is a black box with a sticker on it with 5 numbers on it. This is your keyless entry code. P.S. You'll need a flashlite.
I did this and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the help.
They don't call them stealerships for nothing! Theres a Ford stealership 2 miles from my house but I'll drive 9 miles to the Ford dealer to get anything that I can't fix myself (computer wise). Like I've told people around here "I would spit in a cup for them if their building was on fire". I bought a 03 Expy frm them a couple of years ago that didn't have a keyless code and they still wanted to charge me to retrieve it (plus some other antics). Now they lost me as a customer for now on.
I bought my 03 Expy from a terrible dealership. There was no oil and it was 5 quarts low on tranny fluid. I know I should have checked that but It really shouldn't be something i have to worry about. luckily i found it quick and before it could do any damage. Also I bought my truck in april of 08, and they told me they would order the missing rear passenger armrest when I bought it. They just got it in and put it on in oct. I took all my problems to their highest manager at the store and he hardly helped me. I will never in my life go back to that dealership.
Does the black box behind the glove box (or wherever it is) contain a small PC board with ~5 resistors? Has anyone been into these boxes? I ask because the supercoupe guys have figured out this stuff and can tell the code by the positions of the resistors. With a little repositioning of the resistors, you could change the code so that only you would know it---except for the probabilitys of other identical codes!!
Just curious because I now have an 07 EL (I have the codes for it) and have seen the resistor box on a supercoupe.
I have not looked on my 07 for a box. I dont have the EVTM for my 07, but plan to order one soon. I will look behind the glove box, maybe this weekend. Someone indicated (maybe in this thread, didnt go back and look) that the door codes may be programed into the PCM, or whatever they call the CPU now.
I have the resistor box from a 92 supercoupe that I have opened and looked at. If they still use such a box on the Expys hopefully it will look close to the same.
I am still trying to get over where they placed the fuel pump on my 07 .
