There is in this application.

If he ties into the combination Brake/turn signal wire at the rear of the truck, the license plate frame will flash when he turns on the turn signals.

If he ties into the left side, it will flash when the left hand turn signal is turned on. Same thing if he hooks in and turns on the right side.

An I know he would get a fixing ticket for that for sure.

The only way to keep the license plate frame from flashing with the turn signals, is to run a wire up to the brake light switch, before the brake light wire goes through the turn signal switch, as stated in my previous post.

Now trailer lights are different, you want each side to flash with the turn signals respectfully, left for left, right for right.

A center brake light, you do not.

Hope this helps.

I don't think so; there is one filament for the parking/running lights and another for the
brake/turn signal lights.

You are correct. Turn signals and Brake lamps share the same filament for the rear bulbs.

They also share the same wireing from the turn signal switch.

The brake light wire from the brake light switch goes to the turn signal switch, this is where the circuts get combined together.

And this is the reason why a seperate wire must be ran to the brake lamp switch, if he wants the third brake lamp to function properly.
