I can adjust my shift firmness and when it shifts with the evo. i dont have a problem with how it shifts. Im sorry tex im just not seeing why i need to fork out the extra money. Does the custom tuning have a lesser chance of tranny problems?
Does the custom tuning have a lesser chance of tranny problems?
Well the tuning for the tranny is more complete then it is with most programmers. Let me ask you this, is this just basically a daily driver more then anything else? In all honesty, the versatility of custom tunings is going to come from either programming for more efficient working of truck(ie towing, snow plowing etc) or if your doing alot of a/m parts(turbo, injectors, propane etc). You have more potential for economy with custom tuning particularly if your able to control the 3 modules that I previously mentioned.
Now however, as far as a lesser chance of tranny problems, I haven't had any tranny problems, but I also didn't have any with the bully dog setup, but then again I could have gotten rid of it before anything could have happened, I just don't know. I will tell you this, after all that I have done with my truck, and all the hauling I do(up to 16k if the horse trailer is fully loaded) and my stock tranny still shifts, acts, and is within normal temps and I have had this stuff on the ole girl for about a yr. now(bout 44k miles ago).
Ya my 06 is just a daily driver, and this is all i realy plan on doing to it. my 07 f-350 with a edge juce pulls a fully loaded 25' stocker goose neck. we usaly load it with 12-14 yearling so 15-17k est. It also has a ats torque converter. Does the Juce have the same problems that you know of?

Is it the regular juice or is it the juice platinum? The latter has better safe guards from what I have seen, read, and heard. The biggest problem with the both though is that they are inline fuel devices, the intercept modify and then send the signal on thru. They don't properly tune the computer because of this.
Edit: I see that you have the juice platinum in your siggy. That definately is the safer of the two juices.

ya its a platinum... but whats wrong with the in line? is a programer better?
Inlines don't fully program the truck's computer, they intercept and then send a modified signal back. The truck doesn't really know what's going on with that type of programming as the modified signal is "fooling" the truck into thinking everything is status quo, but it's really been modified.
ok i think i know everything i need to know. you have been a big help tex THANKS!!
Your welcome, I have learned alot on this types of modifications on these boards so I'm glad that I could return the favor(ironically it was also because of this forum that I got the mod bug as well)
