Busted some vandals today

Stupid kids were about to scratch up my truck!

I was coming home from playing soccer with my buddies today, and I went to park my truck on the street like I usually do, because my parents use up the driveway. As I was pulling up I saw these kids start walking up the street slower when they saw my truck, when I parked the truck they stopped walking altogether. I saw this and stared 'em down as I walked into the house but it didn't work so I went inside and started watching them out a window.

Well it didn't work and they walked right up to my truck and were talking to the youngest one and pointing at my truck. I walked to the front door and I could see that he had his hands up and was moving them towards my truck. I threw the door open and that scared the crap out of 'em, then I started yelling at them to get away from the truck and that I knew where they lived and if there was anything wrong with the truck I was coming after them, they ran away .

The worst part is these kids are maybe 11 or 12, the youngest is maybe 9!

Sorry for the long post guys, but I needed to vent.

That's good that you stopped them..

Hopefully they won't try anything again..

If you know them I would let the parents know right away.. Could prevent some visits to the jail to see there son in the future...

+ 1 for the good guys. I woulda been tempted to let 'em do it, then kick some ***. BUT... you can't do that nowadays without getting in more trouble than they woulda been for messin' up your stuff. The law didn't bother me too much- it was my DAD that scared the crap outa me.

God, I miss the OLD DAYS.

I was thinking about letting them do it then sneak up on 'em and let them meet my fists, but then I realized my truck woulda got messed up and I'd be in jail right now.

As for letting the kid's parents know, it won't do any good. The parents are the "My kid is an angel, they'd never do anything wrong" type.

It's a shame to say this, but it seems that most parents don't respect anyone else's property so why should they expect their kids to. I'm not perfect but when my girls were growing up, they were taught if it wasn't yours "Don't Touch It". This included leaning on vehicles.
