I only have the instructions for the OBS trucks. The plug for the shaft hole is shown to be 20mm. I believe they are the same size as the '99-up. I ended up doing the non EBPV pedestal and outlet housing.
are your's leaking now? i ask, because it seems everybody thinks they should replace them when they have the turbo out. i've had my turbo out several times, and never even gave a thought to mine, since they dont' leak. absolutely no soot anywhere. i can't see how pulling the turbo is going to make them leak either, but i've read where some have said to expect a leak soon. i don't buy it. the first time i pulled the turbo, i had some trouble with the connection at the collector and v clamp, but some copper anti seize solved that. the next time, the v clamp literally fell off, and the turbo/collector connection separated with no effort. i can see if you have a leak that this is a good time to repair, but dont' understand if it isn't leaking. i'd rather not open up a good sealing connection for fear that it would leak when i was done. jsut my .02.

Im in the same situation. I am having my turbo replaced and was thinking of changing the up pipes but mine DONT leak. My mechanic told me to leave them alone. Is there a "good" chance that by removing the turbo the seals will loosen up on the up pipes?

Not necesarily. The only real issue with that, is lining up the dimple on the "babies butt" to were it sits on the turbo, and that normally is easy to tell, with high egts, low boost. Up pipe leakes are usually seen, by looking from the ground up, with a flashlight, at were they connect at the upper Y. Those joints are the main leak area.
My damn right up pipe leaks "so bad" that the entire right side undercarriage is coated in soot. I think I'll do the late 99 bellows and bb turbo when I get back from Iraq in Oct '09
