Not screwed. It is a full custom job that is built for racing with header dumps built in. It's the system on my green 150, that is pretty fast. Quite a few 5.0 mustangs have a hard time keeping up with me on the stop light drags even with a set of 36" swampers on the truck.

You get what you pay for, and to make all my stuff work right, I paid to see it come together.

why da hell are you going to put all that engine and tire (especially the vtread) on 1 tons?

i can tell you right now that chit isn't going to fly......

you will most likely break even chromo d60......id say your best bet is to go 2" rocks, but unless your getting into the 56"+ range the OEM alloy replacements will hold up no problem.....

ask Kris how much he has into his D60 front and those are Yukons if i remember correctly......if you get some longfield CV's for the d60 you might get away, but with a heavy right foot you will break them too.......

I have less $$$ into my street legal front rock........

600-700Hp, spooled front d60, hitting a hidden rut or somthing= KABOOOOOOOM!!!!

literally seen it many times.....

Nick

yeah thats right. $200 + an 18pk of beer.

Start adding up the cost of gears locker rebuild kits axle shafts KP rebuild stuff etc. You'll bust the 10,000 budget before you blink.

I was being a smart a** about how the OP said I paid too much for my full on race exhaust system, but could get a total build of an essential race truck built for a grand cause his brother-in-law was providing the labor.

Speaking of race truck, so far the ranger has about $4500 into it! Not bad for a complete build from having nothing to start with and hoping to see a 3000lb ranger with a 600hp big block! Of course my money is all in parts, with me, Nick#2, Paul, and a few others providing the labor.

Yeah, this guy welded on the transmission crossmember. Seeing as it was my first time welding, I'm going to guess that will be the first failure for this truck.. hahah

Nah, it's all good!!! Oh and for my 3" body lift, I only used 2 of the blocks in the cab, and 4 for the bed. The mounts for the front of the cab are tight with the body, and the core support is pinned so I can remove the whole front clip. Not too worried about the bed going anywhere as everything is bolted up using grade 8 hardware.

So first I needed one tons, now i need rocks? Jesus do you guys wheel in the real world, or know what a budget it is. One thing you need to understand is this, I am NOT HOME to do this myself, Im totally depending on my family, dad and b-law, to help me with this. They both work full times jobs, and dont have time to go run down a pair of rocks, I played hell finding the tons. This is not a rock crawler, its a mud and pulling truck. I know pullin is hard, but a lot of pullers run, paddles with 1000 hp alchol engines and dont break that often. **** breaks, and when it does ill upgrade accordingly.

Well I'm not really sure what you need or don't need, but if you already have the one tons you can probably sell them for more than what a set of rocks would cost you if you look around a bit.
