Hi everyone,
I am trying to build one truck out of two and I need to decode the VIN's on both trucks so I can request a VIN inspection.
I mainly need to Know the year on both Trucks.
1st one F10YR833390
2nd one F10YR830219
Also, any info on how to decode will be helpful so I can do it myself in the future
Thanks,
Craig
Here is the rest of the tag info for both trucks.
F10YR833390
COLOR M
BODY B81
TRANS G
AXLE 17

F10YR830219

TRANS A
AXLE 17

Thanks again. I am going to build one truck out of the two. one has been rolled. I have a separate 390 and a c-6 that I will rebuild and use.
I'm thinking that the 8m color is a two-tone scheme so thats what i'll follow.

If the truck that has the blue seat is in good shape, give a holler...Im also after a few other odds and ends...a firewall pad among them...Let me know when you can.

You have a thing for that firewall pad, doncha?
Geez, the truck doesn't run, it's rusted to all heck, fluids leak from every oriface, the carb chit the bed years ago, the interior is moth infested...the only holding the truck together is memory.
the seat - If it's the original - is blue with dark blue stripes on it. I haven't seen any tears in it but it has been out in the weather for several years. The truck sat in a friend's back lot with no glass in the cab (rolled over). I am presently using the seat in my '60 f-100 (the 60 seat is really trashed). I would trade it for another Bench seat in decent shape.
The firewall pad in the rollover is trashed. I am re-using the other cab so i need the firewall pad in it- sorry

Thanks for all the info, Number Dummy!
I assume it was white down to the bottom edge of the hood and yellow below that. that's how I'll paint it when I get it together. Still wrestling with NMMVD right now.
LOL....ya....carbs nearly back together...and no leaks means I can drive the sucker...lol...until I get the last couple of parts for the front end rebuild.
Firewall pad...ya...I HAD a perfect one...until my dearly departed and much beloved rottweiler stepped on it...it was only down for a minute too...that was around 10 yrs ago....nearly had one too last year...attached to a near clone of mine cept 1 year newer...wasnt fast enough returning with the dough (
