I need VIN decode help

Hi everyone,
I am trying to build one truck out of two and I need to decode the VIN's on both trucks so I can request a VIN inspection.
I mainly need to Know the year on both Trucks.

1st one F10YR833390

2nd one F10YR830219

Also, any info on how to decode will be helpful so I can do it myself in the future
Thanks,
Craig

Both are 1966 F100s with 352 and built in San Jose, Ca in March 1966...the March build sequence starts at 830,000 btw

Here's the rest of the information

Here is the rest of the tag info for both trucks.
F10YR833390
COLOR M
BODY B81
TRANS G
AXLE 17
172HP @4000
DSO 71

F10YR830219
COLOR 8M
BODY U81
TRANS A
AXLE 17
172 @ 4000
DSO 75

Thanks again. I am going to build one truck out of the two. one has been rolled. I have a separate 390 and a c-6 that I will rebuild and use.
I'm thinking that the 8m color is a two-tone scheme so thats what i'll follow.

I'll do one at a time...makes it easier...at least for me.

F10 = F100 2WD / 5,000 lbs. GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating)

Y = 352 2V

R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant

833390 = 1966

M = Wimbledon White

B81: B = Medium Blue Crush Vinyl & Medium Blue Cody Pattern Woven Plastic / 81 = 81B Custom Cab

G = MX Cruise-O-Matic

17 = Ford 9" / 3.25-1 / non Limited Slip / 3300 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity

172 NET HP @ 4000 RPM

71 = Los Angeles (SoCal) Ford District Sales Zone Office, were the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

Decode source...Uh....mostly from memory....I've decoded over 600 VIN's on FTE.

All the info will be found in the: 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog / Available on a CD from hipoparts.com / Also sold on ebay for around 22 bucks.

You have a thing for that firewall pad, doncha?

Geez, the truck doesn't run, it's rusted to all heck, fluids leak from every oriface, the carb chit the bed years ago, the interior is moth infested...the only holding the truck together is memory.

But ya just gotta have that firewall pad...

Sorry kiddo...I couldn't resist.

the seat - If it's the original - is blue with dark blue stripes on it. I haven't seen any tears in it but it has been out in the weather for several years. The truck sat in a friend's back lot with no glass in the cab (rolled over). I am presently using the seat in my '60 f-100 (the 60 seat is really trashed). I would trade it for another Bench seat in decent shape.

The firewall pad in the rollover is trashed. I am re-using the other cab so i need the firewall pad in it- sorry

Thanks for all the info, Number Dummy!
I assume it was white down to the bottom edge of the hood and yellow below that. that's how I'll paint it when I get it together. Still wrestling with NMMVD right now.
