Did you have to replace the o-rings? I'm going to do this mod soon and I have 133k on the truck, just wonder if I should order some or just buy them from NAPA.

My O-rings were completely shot on my doghouse. I had to replace them.
If someone wanted could they get real fancy and drill a hole in the exhaust and weld on a small piece of pipe. Just thought that might help with the smell. Would that hurt anything? Probably unecessary, but the mice in my head are always running faster and faster giving me ideas.
Glad i could help Joe, my pleasure on the pipe. Just seen your gauges in here, looks good, what ones did you get???
I'm not even sure what brand those gauges are, they came with a kit for the WVO conversion, I think I want the AutoMeter GS gauges so they match my stock gauges real good. I like the stock look!

I'm sure you could but you would have to make the metal pipe long enough that when it connects to the rubber hose it is not too hot.
Thanks Glenn, i did this CCV mod not to long ago but Chris did a fantastic job on documenting this procedure and his catch container looks very functional, post up with pics when your done with the project. Chase made a good point, theres some threads you can search and the plumbing into the exhaust doesn't seem to be a good idea for those that are thinking of doing it.
congrats on the install Mike! i did mine a couple weeks back and i'm going to fab up a container like Chris did to catch the smoky vapors and smell.

Thanks guys. I'm planning on turning the filter around so the inlet is on the bottom and the outlet to the top. Either way, I can't smell the oil at all from the end of the hose and it's right by the door.
