Its a LabX. Hard to tell what he's crossed with, but I'm suspecting a Rottweiler or Pitt Bull. His head and body shape really resemble either of those, but his personality is a 100% Lab... 7 months old, Spca find.
Good for you Sherm! I`m glad you went to the SPCA to gave another poor helpless pup an awesome home!
Unfortunately I don't think its going to work out... He seems to have a strong dislike for cats, and he's a powerful mutt. I really like him, but my wife is already nervous of how to handle him when I leave for work. It may end up going back in search of a more suitable home I'm dissappointed because he's really connected to me, but my family has to come first. I'm afraid that if his agression towards the cat got out of hand, my wife wouldn't be able to control him and we could have a real bad situation on our hands... At 7 months old, we're caught in the middle of a bad place. He's strong enough that if he got out of control, it would take a fairly strong person to take him down. He's already procurred some of his own characteristics that we could have changed easily had we got him as a small pup. But, at 7 months, he seems to have had some house training, and is easily grasping the concept. Going to be a rough decision to make, but I'll see how my wife feels without me around by lunch time...
Happy Thursday mornin' all. Being a board member of our local baseball association, attended the team selection meeting last night, and ended up coaching yet another year. I vowed to step down after coaching for 5 yrs. They only had 9 capable players my oldest son'd age and no coach. They were going to fold the team. The AA director looked at me and said, Could you work with 9 decent player's and develope 3 more? If I didn't, my son would have to play A ball, they will not allow transferes out to other area's. Well, I'm coaching another year, and believe it or not, my wife is happy She is really proud of Jordan's athletic ability, and he's an A student at school. I will be busy 3-4 night a week, but the snow has to melt 1st. Our season runs from 1st of may to the 2nd week of July including Playoff's. It will be an interesting season. Sherm, yrs ago I got a pure bread Doberman female 6 months old, great dog as long as you were a male. She dispised all females except my mom. At the time I lived at home, and my mom would feed her every morning and put gravey on her food. One day my mom did'st have any gravey, and the dog was pissed. she dumped her bowl looking for gravey, and followed my mom around the house with her dish in her mouth. My mom wouldn't cave in. She sat down to knit and have some tea at about 3pm, with the dog lying at her feet. she was going to get up to go to the bathroom, and the dog would not let her out of the chair (growling). I got home from work at about 5:15, the dog ran to me, and I never seen my mom run so fast to the bathroom. 2 day's later that dog had a new home. Have a great day guy's
