Are you guys surviving the wind and rain out there Sherm?? I thought of you guys when I heard about 100klm or more winds and heavy rain for Newfoundland.
the east coast of the island got pounded with a nasty storm, wind gusts up to 150km/h... it skipped the west coast where i am. going moose hunting with my cousin tomorrow, looking forward to that. did some backroading with my dad and truck yesterday, that was fun times. even used 4x4 once... probably didn't need to, but it was a just in case scenario.
Right on Chris, I like the 70's truck. Got some details about em?!
The 75 is a 4x4, 360 with a 4spd. It's very rusty and is going to need extensive work. Runs fairly well with minimal smoke. I paid cash for it.
The plan was to run it this winter then it would become my project.
The 66 is the same place as the 75. I said to the owner I would like to have that one too. He told me for xxx more dollars I could by it. I said to hiim that if I had enough cash I would by both. I said to him how bout you put me to work to pay for the 66. He says I'll have to think on that.
I went down to take the pics yesterday and as I was leaving he asks if I want to come down on Tuesday as he has some stuff he could get me to do around the place.
The 66 has a three on the tree with a 352 under the hood. Very few actual holes and it is complete and running. No registration, but it's just a little time and cash to get that sorted out.
So with the unexpected purchase of the 66 I don't know what the plan is for spring time now.
Hey where has everyone been the last few days? I just got home form a week in Ontario, visiting the father in law and the rest of the inlaws/outlaws..... The weather was a little warmer there than it was here at home but not much.
Morris, I'll be surprised if I don't end up sick after the flight home. Seemed like everyone around us was sick. Just my luck of course. And the person who drove us to the airport was sick.....
