Morning boys. By the end of yesterday it was all mud again, snow was gone. I'm ok with that. This weekend will be a big weekend of getting stuff ready for winter. Getting stuff stored and out of the elements. I don't mind each season...I hate the transitional times.

Have a great day everyone!!

Oh it's definitely tempting!

There's a really nice little 02 Ranger in Warman for $6000. VERY tempted to go grab it.

A 14 year old ranger is not worth 6k though....4 ish is closer if its nice.

Yeah I agree about the price. It's getting on the old side for a vehicle... but it is in fairly nice shape.

Everyone wants something for nothing in SK. A province full of people that are 40+ tends to do that... Wish it was different, but that's just how things are here. Everything is over-valued when it comes to vehicles.

Info I got on the phone:

-3.0L V6
-5-speed Standard
-Extended Cab (XL Version)
-Had it since 100,000km (now 130,000)
-Only work done to it was:
1) Fluid changes
2) Starter replaced
-Rubber bed mat
-Vinyl/Velcro Tonneua Cover

-Fog lights were removed by previous owner (didn't say why).
-2" Hidden Hitch (but no trailer brake controller, so it likely didn't haul anything IMO).
-Asking $6,000 (not firm on price)
-Mostly highway driven
-Hasn't been winter driven for the past 3-4 years (why only 30,000km was put on in 4 years).

The price does seem a bit high for an 02.

Here's the ad.

Let me know how you make out with getting your heated seat repaired, if not too bad then I may get the one in my 01 F250 Lariat Super Crew repaired althought it won`t see any real winter duty.
Mud everywhere so look out when it freezes the ground will be rock hard and cleaning snow in my farm yard won`t be fun on account of the frozen ruts.

I had a 93 for a company truck and I loved it. Drove it for 20 years and put on almost 200,000mi. Other that regular maintenance nothing was ever done to it.

They quoted me $570.00 to repair it.

Happy Happy Friday mornin'all. Hope the weatherman is correct, and we see some sun this weekend. We sold our company Ranger last year. 2008 175,000k to a long time driver for $6500.00 it was very nice and had brand new tires. Have a great day guy's.

Great info guys.

Sounds like this Ranger I'm looking at is worth around the 4.5K range rather than 6K. I think I'll pass on it for now because there's no way he'll take a 25% drop in price.

I'll stick with my giant POS daily driver for winter. If somebody smucks me in it (Knock on wood it doesn't happen), I won't feel bad.

I`ve had 4 Rangers and they all treated me well, my 89/2.9/5 sp was totaly unreal with fantastic fuel economy.
Think I`ll sit out the heated seat repair, it`ll get parked for the winters when I don`t use it and it`s way cheaper to buy a heat seat cover.

That`s Dave Fullcrew7.3 from Manitoba.

Since Ford sold a lot of Rangers over the yrs there are lots to choose from.
Are you getting the nice sun shine where you are Gerry?

It pays to look around, usually there are a few on Kijiji.
