The truck has a rebuilt engine and transmission, a 9" ford rear has been installed and new brakes. All mechanical has been completed and many new chrome parts have been installed. This is a 53 Ford anniversary model and the first year of an automatic. The truck requires paint to be complete. I purchased the truck in Minnesota from a fellow that started the restoration and couldn't complete because of health reasons. The flat head V8 engine has been professionally built and has approx. 600 miles on it.
Evening boys. Weather sucked today. Went from low 20's to low single digits in a couple hours. Screwed up the roof I was shingling trying to race the rain, lost focus like a newbie. Tomorrows task, do it right.
Had to move the chicks into my garage on a raised pen. Its insulated and more sealed from drafts in there, and I can run the propane heater in there to keep them toasty. The temp is supposed to be 90-95 degrees for the first week, then dropping by roughly 5 degrees each week. Hopefully we don't lose any more, though there are a couple looking like they'll be goners. I'm going to order a few more tomorrow to make up for it. The worst part is there's no way of telling which breed we lost. We had 75 Cornish Giants, and 10 Columbian Rock layers. At this age, they all look the same.
Sweet truck there Gerry. Buy it up. You also have a place to park here if ever you come this far. That same offer extends to everyone here!!
Stock, that engine should be around 100hp. Add another 10-15 hp for the dual exhaust. It's plenty for a light truck like that. It looks like the rear fenders have been modified. It sounds like it would be a nice driver. It would need a good going over up close.
