If I keep going the way I am, I would be able to see freedom 55 but I get significantly more pension money if I work till I'm 60. And if I keep putting $200 a cheque away till I'm 60, I'll have about $175,000 saved.
Retirement...hahahahaha... Yeah...maybe when I'm 90...
Ditto on the credit stuff like John said... Regardless of what the interest rate is, if it ain't 0%, its costing you extra money. I hate financing stuff, whether its on credit cards, LOC, or loans. I'm finally getting to the point where our Explorer and the house are the only things we owe money on. Planning to keep it that way.
5" of wet snow fell this afternoon. Now it calls for +18 on Saturday... I hate spring...lol.
Randy, are you putting that $200 into some sort of GIC or something? By the time you're 60, $175000 won't be that much any more.
Everything now days cost you extra money. And I can live with that because money doesn't grow on trees (yes I know it is made of trees though) but the banks are willing to allow me to spend more money than I have in my account so while I am young, I'm gonna spend a little more. And when I buy a house in the near future, as long as it's paid off before I retire at the ripe old age of 60, I'll be a happy camper .
And yes, currently I am putting the $200 into a superannuation through my work but I am going to cancel that when I get back to work next week and it will he going into a tfsa. And as long as I am not putting more then $5500 a year into my tfsa, I won't be getting any penalties or paying any taxes on it

Hope everyone had a good day.
You think that price seems a little high Sherm? Where I am, high and dry, the water table isn`t a problem for pole buildings. Like Randy I prefer the security of a regular building over a soft cover too.
I enjoy cutting a few acreages of grass around my farm yard Gerry unless it rains too much, it`s a good way to relax by spending seat time which isn`t a bad thing.
The price might be ok Morris. I was trying to remember what the Co-op was pricing them per sqft around here. I thought it was around $10/sqft material and labor, including holes, but no ground prep. I agree with you on the security of a solid structure building, unfortunately if people are wanting to get in and steal your belongings, they're going to do it regardless of the construction of the building. Motion sensor artillery is the only answer. I will put up a permanent structure once I figure out where it would look best in the yard. I like nice tidy yards where everything is proportional, functional, and properly laid out.
Happy Hump Day mornin'all. Baseball try outs everyday this week for both boy's. Looking forward to the good weather this weekend. Time to clean the garage and put the 56 in. Have a great day guy's.
