hi wayne, i put a 30" in Homade but you see i put it through the fire wall and not the froor you know, gotta be different but just measure it up from steering box, figuring for universals and where you want it to sit in cab. I tried to contact my buddy up there today, was going to ride up and call to see if you were around so we could come look at your truck but Bubba's been gone all day. We rode down to Truxx's place yesterday and took a look at all his junk, man he has alot of junk, lucky dog, see ya.
i went with the ididit chrome column. it was a little cheaper than flaming river.
also if anybody is interested i have a ididit 32" no shift steel column. its been painted but easy to remove paint. never been used. tilt, 2 inch diameter column.
What made me decide for F.R. over ididit was the fact that the shift indicator on F.R. is Lighted at night, where as the ididit is just a glue on dial, I believe. correct me if I,m wrong, but that was the only major difference I could see.
That's the type of info I was looking for. Thanks. I was leaning to Flaming River.
As soon as I get my new front leaf springs installed, I`ll order the Flaming River.
I have a Flamming River mild steel column with shifter. Painted the same colour of the truck. It looks great and easy to fit, though it cost me a little bit extra as I had to import it from the States. Didn't realized until it arrived in Aussie that you could order a dimmer switch....bugger! Cheers

I forgot, The dimmer switch was the other reason I bought F.R. and I think that now you can even get the ignition in the column if you want.
but seriously.. how is that like the current model cars with the push/pull the lever for lights.. a button on the end is all they could come up with? With all the micro switches available?
and they want $90 for a push button.. and some wire?
Sam, they are at least offering it as a option. Is ididit offering anything? It worked real well with my Ron Frances wiring kit,and I like the convenience of it being on the column.
Thanks for all the replys everybody.Went to Old Dogs in St. Louis today and picked up an Ididit. I can't believe , " I did it". All my other stuff is stainless so i picked them. You only live once. Couldn't get as many toys , but I did get most of the steering knocked out.
I stimulated the economy with my share.God Bless America!
