engine to trans adapter???

i have an 04 f-350 automatic fx4 i know there are alot of engine adapters to make a cummins fit the 6.0 but is there any that i can use to connect a 98 7.3 turbo to my trans? i have a 97 f250 hd with a bad trans and havent had any luck finding one. then i thought bout the 03s havin 7.3s and was wonderin if i could somehow put the 7.3 in my 04??? of course they use a diff wirring harness and the 7.3 has a manual fuel pump up in the valley up top i can get around all that any help would be app!!! so i need a wiring adapter and a bell housing adapter not sure bout the flywheel cause i know they both have a 6 bolt converter.

So you would like to swap in the 7.3 into the 04 right? IMO its would be money ahead to sell all of the 7.3 and 6.0 stuff and swap in a Cummins. We can make a conversion plate for you for that but its just alot to swap with a 7.3 because the PCM controls all of the truck instead of just having a ECU on the engine like a cummins.

well i understand that i just kinda assumed since o3 trucks came w a 7.3 and my truck is a 7/03 w the 6.0 that i mite could get a stock 7.3 harness out of a ford and swap it under the hood. i guess its proly not that easy the only difference inoticed in the 03 7.3 and my 98 7.3 is that the 97 has no intercooler. it was just an idea but if its gonna be a super big change over im not gonna worry bout it i guess.

It's going to be a super big job, if it's possible at all. You could get an adaptor made, it shouldn't be more than a couple thousand.

Then the hard part starts. The computer that runs the 7.3L can't run the TorqShift trans. The computer that's now running the TorqShift will only run the trans if it is also running a 6.0L engine. It can't run a 7.3L engine. All you need to do is come up with your own wiring harness and computer to run this setup.

PCS has the controller to run the Torque****e so that is not so much a problem as getting the entire harness and PCM out of the other truck and into the 6.0. Its all doable just a PITA because the 7.3's are run by the PCM wich every other harness on the truck is also tied into so it make it more difficult to swap. Having just a ECU on the engine like a cummins makes them very easy to swap, hook up 3 wires and it will run.

What wires need to be connected from 7.3 Harness to 02 cummins to get it going?
