Are you familiar with 6.0's? If not you have a lot of reading to do.....

I have that exact Ex, I paid the same for mine 3 yrs ago and it was still in warranty with 88,000 miles.

If it has been cared for and has had the mods already done it looks like a good vehicle!

I bought mine 'sight unseen except for pics and had it shipped to me, and I knew nothing about 6.0's. Boy did I learn alot.

have the owner take it to the local ford dealership and pay for ford to survey it for you. A couple hundred bucks could save you thousands plus you wont have to waste a day driving to look at it.

I have not looked at this one but I know they have had that for that price for at least 2 months maybe as long as 5. At one point they had 2 the other was white and had a few more miles on it but that one sold at either 1000 or 2000 less. I know the price for it is pretty good for what other people are asking around here so I would have to think something is up with it but that is a total assumption though. I just know I have been scoping these out for the last 6 months anyway and if they are even a decent deal they do not seem to last very long. Take that for what its worth.

That place is not too far from me, if you'd like I could swing by there and take a peek (might have to be tomorrow). As Eastland noted, that particular truck has been for sale for a while (I've been CLing Excursions for some time); I didn't look at it because I didn't want a 6.0 and any 7.3 that popped up were either had a bazillion miles or were $$$.

Nkenney where are you coming from?

PM me if you want me to give it a look.

OK I went back and looked and I used a just ask web site to get an oasis for that truck and it only had like 4 entries 1 was for a recall and the others didnt look like much but that was also back in June and I think that was when they dropped the price by 1000 to where it is now. Just thought I would give you all the info i have.

The Diesels are becoming an endangered species. And if you have a healthy 6.0, it's worth even more. TheBestKindOfEX made a valid point...know what you are getting into with the 6.0. I paid roughly the same price for mine (~$16k) in NC. An '05 Eddie Bauer 4x4 6.0 PSD with 117k miles, mint inside and out. Then had to put $1k worth of Michelin tires on it. And I'm on the lucky end, my oil analysis at 125k miles came back super clean with little show of engine wear (on standard Motorcraft oil) and no negative signs. In 5 months I've had 3 offers to buy this truck...mostly while refueling.

My advice...get the price down. Yeah, there is a market for these trucks, but not everybody in this economy is running out to buy an Excursion with diesel at almost $4/gallon. Mine came off the used lot at the local Ford dealer. I walked out twice before settling on the price. The sales manager finally said, "that thing has been here for 3 months...it's got to go." Everybody where I live buys an F250 PSD or a Duramax. My plan was, get the truck at a good price near trade-in, run the Oasis report, do a used oil analysis, and if things didn't come back good...unload it asap. But, I lucked out and have a truck that my wife has named Mistress 2 (Mistress 1 is my Center Console the Ex was bought to pull).
