A friend of mine (seriously) bought an Edge for his 07 F150, and came over here to install it. First it was missing a file, so we updated the Fusion software per the instructions from tech support. It worked flawlessly, and we installed it. Set it for level 2, and gave it a test-run. Besides some harder shifting while floored, it didn't seem to do anything. Does it take a bit for it to really start working? We drove for about 10 miles I'd guess, both cruising, flooring it, stopping, and even shutting it off. Did he waste $429.00, or should he get some higher octane gas and try level 3?
Anybody have a custom tune we could program in and try it again? I see all the options, and we're going to up the WOT setting to 1.5 and give it another shot. He bought it more for power than mileage. If it doesn't show something, then maybe he'll try to return it.
Ok...he upped the WOT fuel setting to 1.5, and that made a little difference. Almost squalled the tires from a dead stop, so it put a smirk on my face. Might have to play with it a little bit. Anybody care to share their custom settings to alleviate hours of fun and trials? If we tweak it a little more, we'll share it back!
For what it is worth, if your buddy wants performance..... premium gas is in his future. It is simple math.... you need hotter gas, to get hotter performance. Have him fill a single tank, with level 3, and enjoy (or cry a bit when you run regular again, on level 1 or 2).
One thing you can try is run the 93 octane tune but bump the timing down by 1 degree and take it around the block. If you here any pinging ot all take it down by 1.5. I ran my Gryphon like this until I got my custom tunes. It is better than the tow setting but not as good as my custom tunes.

Hi there,
Level 2 is a calibration written for towing, not performance. Also, does your friend have any modifications (such as a CAI) that might make the Evo not work to its full potential?
Level 3 is a performance calibration. You might want to try that.

Mine will burn em just matting the gas. No tuner needed.
